A visionary of the recreation era and a great unifier, Father Marcel de la Sablonnière worked relentlessly throughout his career to give young people and their families the opportunity to flourish through sports and outdoor activities.

His great competence and charisma led him to participate in numerous national and international organizations, where he had meaningful influence on their direction and, by extension, on the development of sports and recreation as a whole.

For thousands of Quebecers, the man affectionately known as “Father Sablon” is the reason behind their profound love of sports and outdoor activities.
